My name is Alicia Jones.  I am a performance-based artist specialising in NSP Physical theatre and Butoh.  I have been performing professionally since 2007 nationally and internationally and I collaborate with various companies across Australia including Little Dove Theatre Art, Ozfrank Theatre Film and Mercury's Wings Theatre Company.  I am a current member of the Australian Korean International Contemporary Exchange program.

I have worked in creative community development as manager/producer since 1997, primarily working to enhance opportunities for social inclusion for members of Aboriginal communities, people from diverse cultural backgrounds, children and people identifying as having disability.

Since 2008, I have worked as a teaching artist, spending time developing cultural understanding and appreciation within student cohorts and the  operational management of Early Childhood, Primary and Secondary educational spaces.  I have held Artist-In-Residence positions at State Library of Queensland, Oxley State School (Bris), Benowa State School and the Moonah Arts Centre (TAS).

I provide creative services to children on behalf of Home of The Arts and am a founding member of the Gold Coast Indigenous Arts Collective.  I have worked with the GOLD COAST HISTORICAL SOCIETY MUSEUM since 2016, hosting creative community events as part of the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games and as a host venue for cultural consultations.

I hold a Bachelor of Creative Industries (Drama), Diploma in Small Business and Diploma of Theatre Management.  In 2019, I will complete a Diploma in Early Childhood Education.  I hold the relevant Working with Children blue card, National Police Clearance, First Aid and Public Liability insurances.
